Why not just hook up the bad keyboard, open Word, type the password so you can see what the keyboard actually generated, then hook up the good keyboard and type in the password you saw in Word?

Well, yeah.
The bad keyboard will send the same characters to
the computer as you type in the password as it sent
the first time You typed it in.

Now CHANGE the password to something that only uses
good keys and see if that doesn't 'fix' it so you can
use a good keyboard.
