Suggestion 1. On the internet there might be a program
which can find or reset the password.
Suggestion 2. Wipe it and reload Windows from scratch.
Suggestion 3. Install a second hard drive with windows
on it, set the laptop to boot off the second drive
then copy all the desired data off the first hard drive.
Then reformat and re-install windows etc. on it.
(It might be possible to use an external USB drive
to do suggestion 3 - I have not figured out how to
make a USB stick boot and run the computer.)

(This may sound stupid . . . but is there any chance the caps
lock is on? Keyboard malfunction? Try a USB keyboard and see if that helps?)
