was 'not an option' for the individual States.

With that said, it californica does pass such an idea, First thing the rest of
country should do is strip it of all non-defense federal spending.

The other forty nine States are providing californica with some 375 Billion dollars
total. Almost 55 Billion in medicaid alone. And another 20 Billion in food
stamps and other assorted welfare or 'income redistribution' schemes.

Here is the way I look at welfare. A 'Just' society should help out
its most disadvantaged. But, when huge numbers of able bodied
peoples are living the bulk of their lives on welfare, there is
something seriously wrong with the system.

Look at it this way. People are supposed to pay taxes to pay
for necessary governmental functions. The government is not supposed
to be paying peoples living expenses.
