It is the second oldest college in America and a good one at that. Thomas Jefferson went there and many other famous early fathers of the country. George Wythe is the Law Professor the Law School is named after and was Jefferson's tutor.

I spent three years traveling between here and there Decomp. But the campus really is nice and Colonial Williamsburg is pretty cool to visit also.
Williamsburg itself is pretty nice place to walk around and browse. Lot of history there my friend...

I was out of town last weekend, having gone to Williamsburg Virginia Saturday and Sunday with my family. We attended an 'Accepted Students' orientation and toured the college of William & Mary, returning mightily impressed.

With the college.

Not the town.

In fact, I was inspired to write the following about our deluxe accommodations at the Williamsburg Travelodge. 

Room 136

The maid left her broom
In an unpleasant room
With a smoke alarm chirping
But nothing else working

Our lovely room 136

Perpetually open
The deadbolt was broken
Three keys on the floor
Marked One Thirty Four

Were found in room 136

Door hinges were rusted
The telephone busted
Ants in a cup
Eating dried 7 up

The saga of 136

TV with a squeal
Had no sex appeal
And the mess on the floor
Made us bolt for the door

Abandoning 136.
