I too had very high triglyceride numbers like yours. Actually mine were so high the chart ran out. Doc was astounded because he had his own lab where he checks things himself... I rarely eat lots of meat anymore. Chicken, occasioanl a porkchop, occasional a small serving, 6 ounces, of a lean steak or a roast.
Balance is something I Have to work hard at because we all like to eat the things we love. Who doesn't? lol!!
Start implementing some dietary changes my friend.. You will have a fatty liver on your hands next and that is no good. A stroke or heart attack won;t be any fun either..
Let's avoid that. MY wife and I both like the Meijer brand of OATMEAL old fashioned oats better than Quaker Oats oatmeal. Those oats come from Canada in the mejer brand and are every bit as good as the over priced Quaker Oats oatmeal. I have that five days out of seven for breakfast. NO SUGAR... Use sugar free pancake syrup which is very good taste.. ADD a tablespoon of natural crunchy peanut butter for protein. Add any fruit you like as well. I like blueberries, blackberries, and strawberries in mine... I also eat walnut pieces...
Just an idea for a healthy but filling breakfast along with 15 ounces of coffee !!!!
You can do this and yes, it does shock you when you are told... I was and it scared me...
I'm here to help big guy.....
