I am working on all of that and with what I have been taking to reduce the fats, I was shocked it was so high............. And yes I need to cut back on my meats I cook, Biggest thing I NEED to do is , STOP watching that dang food channel. They kill me with their cooking. ALL fatty stuff.......

I have wrestled with elevated triglycerides for most of my adult life BUTTTTTTT,
somewhat elevated, not full blown atmospheric elevated.

My last test showed within limites of ldl and hdl levels but tri's around 230 . Normal is 150 or less...

SO, you have some serius amount of saurated fats in your blood my friend.

My serious advice to you is this: TOTALLY change your diet and eating habits. I LOVE al those really delicious meats you smoke and cook and all the sumptuous side dishes, but those are exactly what is causing your mega triglyceride count.... You are a STROKE or heart attack waiting to happen...

Seriously Nemo, change what you eat starting TODAY....

Eat things that are better choices. OATS for breakfast with some fresh fruit like blueberries, strawberries, raspberries and blackberries in it and sweeten with SUGAR FREE pancake syrup . ADD some walnut pieces in your bowl as well ebcause hose are good for your heart health. I eat walnuts every single day with my one bowl of oatmeal for breakfast along with my wife.

CUT WAY BACK on meats. SOME fish is good for you, but not LOTS of it.. GET SUGAR out of your life. Start using STEVIA in the Raw instead... BLACK coffee.

Make yourself some killer Salads for dinner with a sliced hard boiled egg in it, some croutons,and other chopped or sliced veggies along with lettuce. Use a Italian dressing or something low fat. Not much either...

Cheerrios is an alternative for breakfast, have some scrmbled eggs or make an omelet with onions and diced green pepper and a little cheddar, (LITTLE BIT).

You can eat better and you will get used to it. But you seriously need to start doing that TODAY. Those magnificent meats you are doing are killing you my friend. Start WALKING more also... IF you can.. I know about the back thing.. So I get it... But start by changing WHAT you eat immediately. And HOW MUCH you eat.. Cut it in half and change it. You will LOSE WEIGHT automatically, feel better, and your body will start shedding all that LDL, HDL, and triglycerides....

You do not want to be on statins so you really need to geet these things under control. I did it and you can too......
