I'm sure that's true. My point, though, is that I will be sequestering far more atmospheric carbon with my 50 trees than I will ever release. If the global warming alarmists would do the same, the problem they imagine would be gone.

My motivation, BTW, has nothing to do with global warming - which I am certain is a political con. I just want to help restore chestnut trees to the United States. They were the most important tree in American forests but were almost entirely wiped out by a blight over 100 years ago. The blight persists but the trees I've ordered are blight resistant.

An even bigger elephant that is seemingly not discussed by all of the alarmists are the GIGANTIC plastic trash vortexes floating in our oceans. There are five major ones and the largest patch is currently between Hawaii and California and is 617,763 square miles (or 1.6 million square kilometers) - that is 3x the size of France and bigger than Texas!! IF any of you have ever driven across Texas - it takes 2 days on I-20, that is a stunning size. Not to mention the effects of marine life - or death!!

I find it amazing that the climate alarmists avoid these two elephants yet claim to "care about the environment."
