I took a class taught by an NYPD guy, a Muslim who teaches active shooter and infrastructure protection and such. He asked the class if drones were a good or bad idea. This was around the time when the left seemed to be trying to get everyone to condemn drones [so we would send troops to be killed instead; and, economic warfare where it cost us more money and weaken us by using more of our warriors]. To my surprise, since the Universities are mostly left, Everyone said they are a good idea and should be continued. I suspect the clamor to kill drones died down because they couldn't find support for the notion.
