Hi Cactus Flower,

There seems to be strange with this Whelan guy, a supporter of Kavanaugh. He should be asked to testify, under oath.
By the way, Kavanaugh has spent most of the week at the White House 'preparing' to tell his truth.
At this point, if he does get the votes how could he determine cases fairly where Trump is involved?

WaPo: Whelan Researched Ford Before Her Name Was Published

Ed Whelan began researching Brett Kavanaugh accuser Christine Blasey Ford even before her name was published, the Washington Post reported Friday.

While Whelan has denied communicating with anyone in the White House about his now-deleted Twitter thread speculating that Christine Blasey Ford was assaulted by someone other than Kavanaugh, The Post reports Ford noticed Whelan emailed an associate to say Whelan had been looking at her LinkedIn profile “about 90 minutes after The Post shared her name with a White House spokesman and hours before her identity was revealed.”

A White House spokesman told the newspaper that neither Kavanaugh nor anyone at the White House gave Ford's name to Whelan. Whelan, Kavanaugh's close friend, did not respond when the newspaper asked how he first learned of Ford's identity.

Hi clo,

Parsing the quality of different memories is the kind of argument a lawyer who knows little about how memory works would make.

The fact that a person doesn't report a humiliating experience for 40 years isn't remotely unusual. It is seeing the person responsible treated as if they are a man of sound character which likely triggered Ford's response. It may have recalled the humiliation in a person who now has the maturity to think their response through.

Trump, of course, knows nothing and lacks all sensitivity so can be disregarded as a source of sensible conversation.

I haven't ruled out the possibility of Ford being an opportunist or lying Trump hater. But there's no evidence of it that has been brought to this board, even if folks on the right, giving the appearance of defamatory intent, seem willing to invent it out of nothing. Folks who make assertions of that type need to bring support for their statements. Or get out of Dodge.
