I do believe that is part of what Goodell is asking for ... NOT what he has already received. Personally, I don't give a crap one way or the other ... the NFL is dead to me. However, it is fascinating that the NFL franchise owners can maintain a straight face when an incompetent worm like Goodell - who has overseen and personally contributed mightily to the rapid decline of the NFL - demands an increase in salary from $30 million per year to $49.5 million per year plus free use of a private jet for life plus free health insurance for himself and his kids for life. Wow! My first (and only) reaction would be to laugh him out of the room and then give him cab fare with no uncertain instructions to clear himself and his crap out of the premises within the next 15 minutes. The NFL has quickly become a complete joke - and a ridiculously bad one at that. For all their vaunted reputation as supposedly stellar businessmen, the majority of the franchise owners are not acquitting themselves very well.
