I told you it was probably just gossip. One of the kids live streamed what he described as "about twenty cop cars, two helicopters, and the street is barricaded." My wife said she read that police are looking for a woman with a duffel bag and that this involves a house where gunfire has been previously reported. And the earlier Facebook post that said a cop was shot has been changed to say that a cop was shot AT.
My guess is that a drug deal went bad.
Seven or eight years ago when I had gone for groceries and was almost home I saw a huge commotion at a park near my street. It was night, but the area was well lit by the police car lights. A swarm of police officers stood around someone lying in the grass. I walked back to see what was going on and saw a gurney being loaded into an ambulance . . . and the victim getting the free ride had his face COVERED. The ambulance also took one heck of a long time to leave . . . which corroborated my suspicion that they had no reason to hurry. That left an impression.
I looked for days and never saw a thing about it. Just goes to show you that not everything that seems newsworthy to us is necessarily newsworthy to the media.
