Yes, De ... we are most certainly in the deep end ... have been for quite some time, now ... but, at least the leftist goofballs are somewhat entertaining.

I read all of these stories about marriages, family relationships, and friendships being blown up by leftists who are absolutely hysterical over their election loss - their wretchedness is simply astounding! Then, I look over at the Further Freedom From Thought board and see a comment by clo that confirms this pitiful, despicable attitude regarding a wife who separated from her husband simply because he had the effrontery to tell a friend that he was thinking about voting for Trump (in fact, the man actually wrote in Gingrich's name on Election Day, but she still won't move back in with her husband) - per clo, "I believe it. I could never live with a Trump voter." I know we refer to them as "snowflakes" because of their undeniable emotional and psychological fragility, but in truth, it's becoming quite clear that a snowflake is far stronger and more durable than they are. They are truly sad and pitiable creatures.

Beldin:

re: "but when the shoe is on the other foot, they can't take ANY of it in return!"

You don't get it. This was NOT supposed to be possible! Just ask any of them... (if any are still on speaking terms with you - which, I confess, is rapidly ceasing to be the case with me.) Worrying about the shoe being "on the other foot" was not, until now, worth their time... not when more pressing issues like Global Warming, being allowed to watch little girls pee at the local Target store, and picking a Broadway show always occupied their thoughts.

Needless to say, the impossible has happened and a lot of simple minded creatures who were utterly unprepared for it are struggling with a world that no longer fits with their model. It's quite a stressful thing to go to sleep one night thinking that everything is great and waking the next day to the realization that you are thoroughly, utterly, hopelessly screwed.

The smarter conservatives have felt that way for some time. The SMARTEST conservatives still feel that way today. We ARE screwed. There's no dodging the bullet that's coming. (See my previous post on the actual size of the debt.)
