Thanks, Beldin. That's how we're looking at it too. It also takes some of the pressure off of him between now and March. He had been thinking that the two schools that already said yes weren't what he wanted. But if one of them is free . . . . then like a cheap date, it's suddenly a LOT more attractive.
Okay, that's mostly me talking. He's figuring that I'm paying for his college either way so the savings matters less to him than to me. Maybe if I offer to give him half of the money he saves me.... Hmmm. That might work!

Whatever happens, I think we're both feeling very complimented by VCU's offer. This isn't even a scholarship he applied for. It just arrived out of the blue.
