She's still in Denial. I'm not sure which stage of grief I'm in. I think some place near Stage seven million.
There are two sides to what I'm experiencing. There was the sheer joy of winning so unexpectedly. And there was the sheer joy of knowing that the liberals were every bit as mortified by what had happened as I was ecstatic, essentially experiencing the precise opposite of what I was.
I'm not sure which of the two is better.
My wife tells me that there's a German word for deriving pleasure from someone else's pain. She says I've got a 'Schadenboner.'
