Re: “IT'S A CONSPIRACY I TELL YA!!!”

Yup.

I read online that car radiator replacement is considerd to be a two hour job (for a professional.) So that means that the $750 labor charge I'm facing is ridiculous.

HOWEVER, that's for a car. The van's radiator might be a little more difficult. It's definitely tight under that hood.

Anyway, what's done is done. I told the wife to go ahead, especially since the mechanic she found is just down the road from her office and she can get it done without my having to take any time off work. Mechanics are expensive, but so am I.

Gold is $1,581/oz today. When it hits $2,000, it will be up 26.5%. Let's see how long that takes. - De 3/11/2013 - ANSWER: 7 Years, 5 Months

...auto mfgrs make cars difficult to work on. If ya want to replace the oil pan gasket on a 2003 chevy (4.3 v6)pickup, ya gotta almost take the engine out of the car to do it. This makes the repair profitable for the auto dealers and it puts what used to be a relatively simple repair out of the reach of yer average car owner. IT'S A CONSPIRACY I TELL YA!!!
