Hmmm - 20% paying 80% of 'income taxes' - SS is an income tax and goes into the general fund

80%*46% + 20%*34% == 43.6%

So, 20% of pop actually pays 43.6% of the taxes. Still a disproportionate share, but not nearly the 80% level that is continually claimed - but 43.6% doesn't get the 'required' message across, does it ?

There are three types of lies; lies, damned lies, and statistics.

Which of the above present a more accurate picture ?
