Hi Linda!

I agree with you 100 percent on this. I am not in favor of flat tax. IFFEN there needs to be a flat tax, let it start at an income level that is above a certain point. Say household income in excess of 150,00o. or something akin to that.

I do not pay ten percent to the federal government as it is in federal withholding tax. Ten percent is an increase to me.

There needs to be better definition as to when or at what point is income above a certain amount then taxed at ten percent.

For example, JOE PUBLIC makes $80,000 for his income last year. Household of 2 people.

MAYBE you could say that the first $50,000 is tax free, and up to 100,000 is maybe 5% or some such scenario.

I think a flat tax that kicks in at dollar number ONE of income just screws the majority of people... Including ME. And I like me better than everyone else likes me..... lol!!!!

I am with ya on that.

I know you're a purist on Constitutional issues, but exceptions seem to naturally crop up when an est. 70% of the population's operating paycheck to mouth and can't afford a flat tax, even if it's 10%.

Wonder what Trump has in mind for the companies. Hopefully they don't rebel and go offshore, giving up their US nationality. We're still a pretty good market, though, so it seems unlikely.
