Lampert's latest bid to prop up Sears: Sell Craftsman

I quit buying Craftsman tools a couple of decades ago.
Reason: A Craftsman pair of tin snips FAILED, and Sears COULD NOT and WOULD NOT replace it with another pair of Craftsman snips. They offered me an el cheapo pair of 'Sears brand' instead - very low quality tools.

Ditto with Montgomery Wards - quit them back in the early 70's when their quality went to hell. Even their sockets were extremely low quality, breaking quite often. Tools that fail in the middle of nowhere are WORTHLESS - and I didn't give a damn how often the store would replace them.
Of Note: My Dad STILL has a complete socket set from Wards that was manufactured in the 50's- and both the 3/8th and 1/2 inch ratchets STILL work. Not a single socket (all 12 pointers), extension, or ratchet has EVER failed. Now- THAT is quality.

Anywhooz - Sears will no longer own Craftsman. Stanley (also low quality tools, lousy gaurantee) Black Decker (used to be very good quality tools) will now own the albatross known as 'Craftsman'.

SELL SEARS SHORT: THEY WILL BE BANKRUPT WITHIN TWO YEARS, IF NOT SOONER.
