...I know they won't. I was just sayin that assault weapons have not been used much to change the political landscape at the top. Simple effective weapons prevail. You may be able to get a machine gun that fires as many bullets per min as the ones the gubmint has, but you will run out of ammunition before they do. It's not how many bullets you shoot or how much noise you make, it's how many times you hit the target that matters. The forces of tyranny have a lot of resources. They are backed up by people who want to control your every thought. (for your own good of course)

I'm not advocating that people be able to go into a store and buy a Browning M2 .50 caliber heavy machine gun or a rocket launcher, either. HOWEVER, given the true nature of the Second Amendment, the people should be able to buy more advanced firearms than bolt action rifles and revolvers because the forces of government tyranny will not be limited in their weaponry, I can assure you.
