That's okay. They will only be able to do that for so long because eventually the value in dollars will be so dilute that it will be impossible to keep gold's price suppressed. Or, keeping it suppressed will no longer be a priority.
Remember - it's all about maintaining faith in the dollar. So long as they CAN maintain people's faith this way, they should. After all, when that faith is gone, all will be lost. That's something none of us, including me, want to see.
That said, I'm 100% sure it WILL happen one day and about 99% sure that I'll still be here to see it.
