...me and sears got into a pissin contest about forty years ago and I haven't bought anything from them except craftsman tools since.

...they bilked me out of a little over a hundred bucks as best I remember. I have bought a lot of broken craftsman tools at yard sales and exchanged em for new one. I bet they think they still won that hundred bucks argument.

Hi Ribit!

I used to like Sears. In some ways I still do.

They have simply been run by BAD ceo's making bad decisions.

The KMART thing should NEVER have happened......

WHat I would do iffen I was the CEO at Sears is to GET RID of departments of things that are not large sellers. Like the mens clothing department. Shoe department. Women's clothing is a far cry from what it once was... Bad...

EXPAND on the things you do well.

APPLIANCES, ALL BRANDS One ROOF.
TOOLS. But bring back the lifetime warranty on ALL handtools that say Craftsman. Otherwise go buy them at Lowes Snap On, Home Depot, anyplace that honors warranty on good hand tools.

To me, it's a simple solution. They have the floor space. Utilize with things that attract people.

How about FURNITURE sales? The Bedding department at my local store is reasonably good. It could be better with MORE selection still.

FIll that stire with the things people need and want to look for with great deals and lots of choices between manufacturers, Include the Kenmore line. But include all the top brands also.

This is just my opinion because I think the heads of Sears over the years have simply ruined the company.

They once upon a time had a very nice and very good men's clothing department. Not anymore.....

So, it is a sad day for me to see Sears in so much trouble.......
