re: "However, in order to be fair ... the income tax rate should be flat."

No, there's nothing fair about Citizen A being taxed $1,000 and Citizen B being taxed $50,000. If you want to use the word "fair" and "tax" in the same sentence, it's the tax itself that should be flat, not the tax rate. Every American citizen should pay the same amount.

Now, I know that's going to cause heart attacks and genuflection amongst most of you (not to mention ALL of the libtards), but there's nothing fair about charging different people different amounts year after year. You don't hobble Usain Bolt before you race him and then call it "fair." Quite the opposite - it's stacking the odds against certain people in order to level the playing field. It is what it is, but it sure ain't fair.

... not all American taxpayers are equal - and that is exactly why the system is so screwed up. There are millions of American taxpayers who are paying well more than their fair share.

Being the leftist stooge that you are, you want the income tax to be used to punish success. However, in order to be fair and to counter the idiocy that a goodly portion of the citizenry should be able to receive all of the benefits and more without paying anything in, the income tax rate should be flat. EVERY American should have an equal percentage of skin in the game. The only reason why progressive rates should even be considered at all is to create an initial threshold that exempts the first 20 or 30 thousand of taxable income from tax. And then, the progressive nature of the tax brackets should be very shallow and short.

But, of course, you don't give a damn about having a fair, reasonable tax system, you grubby lil' leftist ... no, you want a tax system that punishes Americans who are responsible and work hard for their financial success and that arbitrarily and dictatorially redistributes wealth to those who agree with your leftist ideology. You know what that is, zzfart? It's called theft, and it was a major cause of the revolution that created this country in the first place.
