...here in God's Country, you have to have a burn permit to build a fire. Got to do with whether or not it is safe to have one. Fire departments issue the burn permits. Ya gotta say where and ya gotta say when. It doesn't matter if you are burning leaves or flags, no permit, go to jail.
...it keeps some of my idiot neighbors from burning down the state and it gets others arrested for burning flags without a burn permit. A win win for me.
