Loan sharks sometimes kill their customers. That doesn't get them their money back, but it make them smile. Sometimes, that's the best you can do.
The Clintons have a LOT of money. Maybe they can't repay every "donor," but they can repay a lot of them. My guess is that whoever pursues repayment first has the best chance of success. I'm probably not the only one who thinks that way.
In the very near future, the Clintons may have an awful lot of really powerful, fairly frightening people knocking on their door.
