And on Monday Lena Dunham continued to speak out against President-elect Donald Trump during the 'Election 2016: What Just Happened?' panel of the Glamour Women of the Year Summit which was held in Los Angeles.
The 30-year-old tried to process the shocking turn of events alongside New York Times op-ed columnist Maureen Dowd, activist and Dolores Huerta Foundation president Dolores Huerta, and moderator Lizzie O'Leary of Marketplace Weekend.
She did not hold back, saying: 'I think so many women are feeling scared, unsafe, ignored by the fact that somebody who is a predator, and is openly a predator, will soon be residing in the White House.'
She added: 'That's a very terrifying fact that we are all going to have to reckon with every single day, and it can't be separated from his policy. It can't be separated from his politics.'
A memo to Ms. Lena Dunham: we have had, relatively recently, a real sexual predator in the White House; his name was William Jefferson Clinton, and he is the husband of the woman you supported for President, Hillary Rodham Clinton.
And forgive me, but I have to ask: by what absolute, willful ignorance did you not know that the Clinton Foundation took money from countries which chemically castrate, jail, and execute members of their LGBTQ communities? These countries include: Algeria; The Nation of Brunei; Kuwait; Sultinate of Oman; Qatar; Saudi Arabia; United Arab Emirates, and Morocco.
Hillary Clinton Took Millions from Anti-LGBT Countries That Jail and Execute Gays
The Clinton Foundation also took money from countries which still allow the barbaric practice of permitting female genital mutilation. Take a look at the map in the following article, and see for yourself where the correlation exists:
Prevalence of female genital mutilation by country
Take a hard look at this data, Ms. Dunham, and then say, to the public at large, and with a straight face, that you still support Hillary, even though her foundation took money from these countries which persecute their LGBTQ communities, and took money from countries which still permit female genital mutilation.
And right now, at 70, with a beautiful, very bright wife (who, BTW, speaks 5 languages fluently), Trump, I am willing to predict, is not going to be indulging in anything remotely approaching what you might define as "predatory behaviour".
In fact, I would be willing to bet you a plugged Turkish piaster on that! :-)
So for heaven's sake, let's give the guy a chance, shall we?!?
And if you want to talk about a sexual predator, before and during, his tenure at the White House (and you are possibly way too young to remember this), think the late President John F. Kennedy. As reported at the nationalgeographic.com:
According to Robert P. Watson, a historian who has researched the sexual indiscretions of U.S. Presidents, at least seven of them—ranging from Thomas Jefferson to Bill Clinton—have had affairs both before and during their terms of office. But John F. Kennedy, whose dalliances with scores of women, including movie goddess Marilyn Monroe, have become the stuff of legend. Kennedy biographer Robert Dallek describes JFK as a "compulsive womanizer" whose insatiable urge for sexual conquests was fueled by a complex array of personal traumas—his own father's conspicuous adultery, a difficult relationship with his mother, anxiety about his own health problems and his brush with death during World War II, and the deaths at a young age of his siblings Joe Jr. and Kathleen. "Kennedy himself, who could not explain his need for sex with so many women, probably rationalized his behavior as a diversion comparable with what British aristocrats did, or with the golf, sailing and fishing presidents traditionally used to ease tensions," Dallek wrote. "Jack liked girls," his friend, Florida Sen. George Smathers, told Dallek. "...He was a great chaser." Kennedy's amorous proclivities began long before he reached the Oval Office. According to Kennedy biographers Michael Meagher and Larry D. Gragg, the future president was sexually promiscuous dating back to his high school days at Choate, and during World War II, had an affair with Inga Arvad, a woman that the FBI had under surveillance because they believed she might be a German spy.
What you can do, Ms. Dunham, as an American citizen, is to advocate for legislation to abolish the Electoral College; assist your party of choice in identifying women candidates whose platforms make sense to you; who are NOT corrupt; who do NOT have "dead bodies lists" haunting them, and DO NOT ooze a very smarmy sense of entitlement and inevitability regarding their candidacy; unify with your friends to support charities where the money actually DOES ago to the people for whom it is intended, unlike what happens to money for the Clinton Foundation:
Clinton Foundation Admit 85% Of Donations Do Not Go To Charity
The German philosopher, Friedrich Nietzsche, made the following observation: "“That which does not kill us, makes us stronger.”
I know I have "hurled the defy" your way, and sometimes the truth hurts.
But I am reasonably certain that, at some point, you, being the very gifted performer and writer you are, will re-evaluate your support for Hillary Clinton, because of what you will learn if you look at her history with open eyes.
Political support of a candidate cannot possibly be a"religion", because that means certain facts, regarding history, and temperament, will be blithely ignored.

Realist - Everybody in America is soft, and hates conflict. The cure for this, both in politics and social life, is the same -- hardihood. Give them raw truth.
