Comey has a ten year appointment that may make him difficult to replace. I wouldn't be surprised if he has to be impeached, and Congress probably wouldn't have the votes.

On the other hand, Trump will control the Department of Justice. He could probably threaten corruption charges against Comey and get him to resign. He may also also be able to bypass Comey and get the information he needs from another FBI top official.
