You worry too much. Such families already owe $2 million in Federal Debt + P.V. of Medicare Obligations + P.V. of Social Security Obligations. What's another $15k?
We can continue like this forever without any side effects whatsoever. When my son is my age, every family will owe trillions and will be so overjoyed that they will sing and dance in the streets every day. I know this to be true because I'm slowly turning into a closet liberal.
