...what ya seein here is a realignment of the parties. Once upon a time ya had republicans and democrats and then southern democrats who often voted with the republicans on important issues like defense. It was really three different constituencies.
Liberals are like a "Slinky". Totally useless, but somehow ya can't help but smile when you see one tumble down a flight of stairs!
