Out of curiosity . . .
Just how would I go about making a boot USB which
runs the operating system and has the drivers etc. etc.?

I once tried creating a boot USB by installing from
the Windows CD to a USB . . . and that did not work.
(If I remember correctly, it said "YOU have no hard disk.")
