...a little alcohol in the form of stp gas treatment will absorb small amounts of residual water in gas. You will also need to replace fuel filter

You guys got it..... I knew ya would.

I think my wife had some water get into her fuel tank while we wuz attending to our grandson and daughter in Virginia a couple a weeks back. We left it sit at a maechanic's lot to be worked on and not driven.

Now occasionally, when driving, the car just suddenly acts like it has loss of power and sputters slightly. A few seconds later it tends to straighten out and stop the nonsense and then behaves itself.

I put some dry gas in the tank, (more than half empty)this morning and filled up with Shell V-Power premium to give it some UMPH...

So far so good. I put 40 miles on it since and no problems YET. (Guess I should wait till she drives it.) Now I am going to check the plugs and see what they look like.

I know the problem is not the mass air flow sensor cause when I tap on it with engine running, the idle never changes.

Hopefully it is just some condensate from sitting cool nights and days. But I don;t remember when I last looked at the plugs, so I will give them a looking over....

The best,

micro....
