You didn't,
by any chance, 'let it' upgrade to Windows 10, did you?
That might explain it.

Windows 10, with it's constant updates is chewing through
the gigabytes. Worse, when first installed it did OK,
then my internet would go off line - particularly when
something intensive - like Yahoo - was in progress. That
problem seems to have been 'cured' . . .

By the way, when my XP machine went on line so I could
go to Vanguard the other week, microsnot went and did
an update to it on me too. (The only time that machine
gets internet access is when I need to go to Vanguard.)
