The gunman was described by witnesses to police as a young Hispanic man dressed in black. Surveillance video captured him entering the mall unarmed and then recorded him about 10 minutes later entering the Macy's with a "hunting type" rifle in his hand, Mount Vernon Police Lt. Chris Cammock said.
...hunting type rifle? With that in mind, the visible wood and the sling could be a lever action 30-30 or some such. Earlier photo's show him entering the mall without a gun, so he either had to have brought it in earlier and hidden it or he went back out and got it or somebody else brought it in.
...he looks about as much muslim as he does Hispanic but then muslim is a religion and Hispanic is a language and neither are races.
