PITTSBURGH, PA (KDKA/CNN) - Not your typical college student, a boy in Pittsburgh is making his course-load look like child's play.
He's a full-time student at only 9.
Will Maillis’ dad says he was speaking sentences at seven months.
"I'd put him to bed, and he'd be in a crib, and I'd say, 'Go to sleep. Go to sleep.' And he would look right at you and say, 'I don't want to,'" said Peter Maillis.
Maillis says his son was also good with numbers, adding at a year-and a-half, multiplying at two. By five, he was counting in Chinese.
"He finally gets to a hundred, and I said, 'OK, OK, What else did you learn?' He says, 'Well, I learned the alphabet,' and he rattles off the alphabet, and I said, 'What else did you learn?'" Maillis said.
Will graduated from high school this year and is taking a full schedule at a Pittsburgh community college.
The older kids don’t bother him too much.
"I'm usually at the front of the class, so out of sight, out of mind," Will said.
Will plans to be an astrophysicist.
Will's best friend will be starting a full class-load himself at the same school next year, at the ripe old age of 10.
