Windows ten is kind of like the federal government . . .
They MUST protect you by enforcing what ya is allowed to do.

Another problem is the twenty tons of different
things they insist I must be able to do from one
place.

Like, windows explorer . . . used to be all ya saw was
the drives (partitions) that were actually there.
Then the 'My Favorites' was required to be there.
Now? The only thing I really want to see is my hard drives . . .
But, I got sort through everything from downloads to
documents, every where I go regularly, through music,
pictures, videos (which I NEVER use), and, finally,
my hard drives. After that there is Libraries, Network,
(never mind that this computer is not on a network)
homegroup, control panel, and the recycle bin.

If I want to save a file I got to wade through ALL
this crap just to get to the drive where I want to
stow it.

Crap.
Zim.

Back to windows 7
...windows ten didn't approve whenever I changed the program I wanted to open files in, and felt that it's right to change em to whatever they felt appropriate was none of my bidness.

...windows 10 also decided that the same hard drive I was using for win 7 had miraculously changed itself into a solid state drive and so ya couldn't defrag it.

...another program I use regularly is Norton Utilities and about half of it quit working when I upchucked to win 10. I cannot call windows 10 an upgrade.
