...make sure you do not report that you or the family are contributing to him financially. If you do, the govt will require that it be counted as INCOME and will reduce his benefits accordingly. When ya pay into something yer whole life, it isn't welfare when ya take your turn at taking out of it.

LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thank goodness you did not get hit by any of those who had a little too much "stimulant" of the intoxicating type.

Glad you made it back though. You have made me laugh for years now and that is something that is much appreciated.

On another note,
I have Hospice, Vitas, now involved with my father.

They try to do everything at the patients home. We liked that. It is a matter of trying to coordinate the coming and going of all their personnel as NONE of us siblings live there and he has refused to come over across town and live with us.

SO, now I am trying to formulate another plan. I think I have him agreeing to staying with me a couple days and nights during the week, and one of us is with him on weekends. My wife and sister in law are there at his home every Wednesday morning for about four hours cleaning, doing laundry, looking after him.

SO, that only leaves TWO days to occupy and I have a caregiver that now comes five days a week for three hours late afternoon until evening. THAT will change as dad will be with ME for TWO whole days and nights so I think I will see if I can have the caregiver to come on the two days not totally covered in the mornings for a couple hours and evenings for a few hours like normal.

She can then let the Hospice personnel in the house and assist.

We'll see. It is a tiring effort but it will not last long in the scheme of things....

My best,

micro...
