Good point.
Well, the house is well insulated as I convinced dad a few years ago, about four, to add more insulation into the attic with the same company I did mine with. They now have over 16 inches in their attic and of course fiberglass in all the walls. Five year old high efficiency furnace and air conditioning, five year old roof, and good tiger Maple cabinets with a cheap ass countertop. Grrrrrr.

That has to go. Granite will replace it and a tiled back splash under the cabinetry. New tile flooring in kitchen. Wallpaper gone and new paint to replace.

Unsure about the outlets and code. I know there are GFI's in all bathrooms and maybe I need to check the kitchen as well.

Glad you made that post. Will add to my LIST of things to get done.
Oh, A new Refrigerator is in order as the 15 year old white one needs replaced with a newer stainless steel one with French drawer on bottom for freezer.

That will help greatly.

I already have a Realtor lined up and a list of remodeling that needs to be done before the house can be listed.

...ya might have to have a lot more done than ya know about. These days ya can't sell a house unless it meets gubmint requirements and they include things like rewiring and replacing all outlets with them new goofy ones and putting in them water conserving toilets and energy saving insulation that will keep everybody warm and cozy if the sun burns out. Ya can't even give the buyer a discount so they can do it themselves. It has to be done before it is sold. Ya can thank obuckwheat for that.
