Hi De!

Yes, all the papers are in order, documents signed and notarized, and ON MY DESK.

I have complete durable power of attorney in all areas of his care and his entire household as well as being executor when that time comes.

I do need to make a list of places to call and notify upon his death. I already have a Realtor lined up and a list of remodeling that needs to be done before the house can be listed. Pretty much all new flooring through out, master bath remodel, second bath remodel, and new counter top and tile back splashes and tile floor in Kitchen. He has New cabinets.

New entry door with side lites on both sides...

That will about do it.

SO I need a flooring company and a door company and bathroom remodeling company, although I and my friend can do MOST of the bathroom work.

Dark hardwood floors throughout replacing 25 year old worn out pink carpet. WAllpaper must come down and walls repainted.

That is little sister's job.

ANyway, I have plans laid out and all documents ready to go. I just hate saying goodbye but I know and realize we ALL are going to leave this world some day ourselves.

Thanks very much for you guy's helpful comments. I do NOT know everything and you all are helpful to me in this time of being a bag of nerves....

micro...

re: "I believe Dad will only have a few months to live."

Yes, that's typical of pancreatic cancer. My aunt was diagnosed with it back in the '70s and given a few months to live. She died about two weeks later. Very sad. She was only 50 or so.

I'm sure you've helped your father get his affairs in order. If they aren't, work on it quickly. Your siblings don't sound like the sort who will do the right thing if it's not in their interest.
