Thanks ribit. Smile

That is very true. Like most people, I find myself in the middle of a situation that I want a certain outcome, while my desired outcome may not align with God's plan for my dad.

I hate seeing him in the condition he is in. I also wish my good fer nothing siblings would lend me a hand in taking care of him.

I have come to a couple conclusions though.

1. God's will be done. Not mine.
2. It is certain that if it is God's plan for my dad to come to a swifter life on this planet than a drawn out affair of dementia and Alzheimer's, then GOD is showing mercy by taking him before he becomes a vegetable.

3. I hate it because I will miss him. That is the selfish side of it.

Last, I am not in control. I need and will simply turn this all over to our Creator and God and let HIS will be done.

Thanks for the advice. It is good and sound....
micro... Very Happy

I have been thinking about what you told us about your dad and the effect it is having on your stress level and general health. If I may be so bold as to give you some totally free advice, I would tell ya that the problem you are experiencing is a result of trying to control a situation that you have no control over. Dads try to take care of sons and sons try to take care of dads, but there are some things better left in Gods hands. Just pray. It will be alright whatever happens.
