...making Americans feel safe is a page right out of the left wing playbook. They want to make ya feel safe and secure and warm and fuzzy and by golly you have a right to those feelings whether you have contributed anything to your own well being or not. Ya can't make it safer by having more cops or more laws or more gun control laws or the TSA or Homeland security or whatever. The gubmint can only make us safer by making the consequences of an attack on America so horrible that it becomes unthinkable.
Liberals are like a "Slinky". Totally useless, but somehow ya can't help but smile when you see one tumble down a flight of stairs!
