I don't agree. Trump called Cruz's wife ugly and suggested that Cruz's father had something to do with the assassination of JFK. If Cruz turned around and endorsed Trump now, what sort of a man would he be?
I sure wouldn't do it if I were in his position. Trump hit so far beneath the belt, lashing out at Cruz's family and STILL not apologizing for it, that no one with honor could forgive him.
As I've often said, I don't like Trump. He's uncouth. He lacks class. He fights dirty. And he's not a conservative on MANY of the most important issues. However, he's the best our country can hope for in these uncouth, classless, dirty times. If he up-ends the Republican party and brings it back to its roots, I'll be delighted. And if he does something about our border problem and gets all of these invading criminals THE HELL OUT, I'll be very, very impressed.
As for saving the country, well, it's too late for that. The country IS lost... we'd better wake up to that sad fact. $19 trillion in debt plus $200 trillion in P.V. of future obligations doesn't just go away by negotiating better deals and tightening one's belt.
