Let me see . . .
Hike up the driveway in a foot or more of snow . . .

Sleep in the car and maybe freeze to death, or carbon
monoxide to death . . or run out of gas . . .

Or, build a 'deluxe garage' with block walls, two rooms,
one for the car and another with a pot bellied stove
and a healthy stock of wood and something resembling
a bed to sleep on.

(I like option 3.)

re: "You might consider building a concrete block garage down by the road . . . with 'emergency sleeping'
accommodations in case you are coming in from elsewhere and find the driveway 'unclimbable'."

LOL. Emergency sleeping accommodations? That would be THE CAR!

I can't imagine any conditions that would prompt me to sleep in the car instead of hiking up the driveway to the house. Well, maybe if the wife kicks me out one day, but that's conjecture!

I'm figuring on erecting a carport near the street. If we ever find ourselves snowed in, we'll use that car until conditions improve.
