A few years ago, I began seeing hints that the federal government would like nothing more than to eliminate local police departments and replace them with federal police. At that point, we'd be a total police state in every sense.
A few days ago, I read that David Brown, the Dallas police chief, had stated that police cannot do everything being asked of them.
While that's not the same as saying a Federal police force could do more, I won't be surprised to see Obama-and-kin to spin it that way. If they're intent on taking over, one way they might do that is by offering to perform "some" of the services that American police feel they can't handle. Once they have their feet in the door, there's no going back, of course. The door only opens wider as the problems mount.
