I've read the CNN stories - which are what started the latest round of "no indictment" rumors. All CNN says is that Tricky Hillary won't face charges.
WE ALREADY KNEW THAT.
Loretta Lynch (no relation to clo) just said that she would accept the investigation's decision, but that isn't the same as saying she will indict if the initial FBI report recommends it. She's morphed her original statement in a number of ways to give that impression, but it's not what she's currently saying. Part of the reporting process involves a round of reviews in which the recommendation can be changed! Lynch says she will not recuse herself, so what does that mean? It means that she reserves the right to change teh decision and could save Hillary if that's what's needed.
If it's necessary to save Hillary from indictment, Lynch will probably do so.
CNN stated that an inside source reports Hillary will not be indicted. But is that inside source with the FBI? Or with the DOJ? CNN does not say.
It makes a world of difference since a recommendation to indict by the FBI, reversed by the DOJ, will terminate Hillary Clinton's presidential bid. The head of the FBI is a lifelong, involved Republican. If Hillary isn't indicted because of the DOJ, the story will leak and Hillary goose will be cooked.
Is that what's happening? It's impossible to say. CNN is firmly in Hillary's camp, and if they can help her, they will. They demonstrate that every day with their Trump hit pieces and endless pro-Hillary articles. The bias is clear.
How would reporting "no indictment" help her? If an "indict" recommendation is issued by the FBI, it won't. But it won't hurt her, either. It will make no difference. But if the FBI recommends "no indictment," it helps a lot. It gives Hillary a couple of extra weeks in which to get some people to stop thinking about the e-mails and consider voting for her. SOME people will decide finally to "move on."
It also makes CNN look good, because they beat everyone else to the punch by reporting what everyone has always known - that Hillary won't be charged. True enough.
But despite how it sounds, it's not the same as saying that an inside source reports that the FBI will exonerate her.
