This is one of the most despicable things I've read in a long time.
Lynch meets Bill Clinton at the Phoenix airport out of what's supposed to be pure COINCIDENCE, then claims they spent 30 minutes talking about grandchildren.
This is TOTALLY inappropriate. Lynch is conducting an investigation of Bill Clinton's wife. Having met with him secretly - and it WAS a secret since it only surfaced because a reporter going above and beyond the call of duty happened to ask her about it - she is morally obligated to recuse herself from the investigation.
The explanation was rapidly contrived, however. When the reporter asked her what they'd discussed, Lynch (no relation to clo) *immediately* stated that they'd talked grandchildren and had not discussed the investigation or political matters at all. So she had an excuse at the ready and also revealed that she knew the meeting to be inappropriate. She just didn't plan on it being discovered!
They either met on Bill Clinton's plane, or on Lynch's plane (which is operated by the FBI.) If she got off of her plane and walked to his, she should be impeached. And if he walked to her plane, she should have told him politely at the door IN THE PRESENCE OF A WITNESS that due to the ongoing investigation, any meeting with him would not be permitted.
But who are we trying to kid. Bill Clinton was NOT in Phoenix in June to play golf. It's a terrible time of year to play golf in that city. Wouldn't happen. Nooo, they met at the airport on purpose as a means of conducting business without it ever being on the official record.
Having met with Clinton, Lynch must recuse herself from further involvement in the Clinton investigation. But she also should be impeached since she clearly violated the law intentionally.
