Start with either a PUMP shot gun, single barrel, 12 gage, 16 inch barrel.

...minimum 18 inch barrel to stay legal.

DGP

Just goes to show that iffen ya practice with a certain pistol ya eventually get really good with it.

I acquired a Ruger 9 mm semiauto P95 recently.

Nice firearm. Has 15 round mags and has a fairly light pull on the trigger. Adjustable 3 white dot sight.

I already can shoot this as well as the Glock.

Now I need to pick up Ribit's long range rifle of choice, a Remington 700 which btw was adopted by the Marine Corps some years back.. Yep, it was that accurate and that good. Still is.

That and an AR 15 would give one a pretty good defensive arsenal.

AND DECOMP, if you are reading this,

GET YOU A WEAPON iffen YOU is going to prep. Ya cannot protect yourself, much less family if you is weaponless.

Come on man, does Ribs and I have to come to where YOU are and show ya??? lol!!!!!

Start with either a PUMP shot gun, single barrel, 12 gage, 16 inch barrel.

You can get one almost anywhere and you do not need to be an expert to use it. Get some shells. They come 5 to a pack. Get about 10 packs.

AFTER THAT I would get a semi-auto pistol, and there are lots to choose from. Read the reviews and go to a store like BassPro or Cabellas, or some Gun DEALER in your area and have them show you several and let you handle them for weight and feel.

You can get a nice one for under $350 dollars. You do not need to spend $600. The $350 dollar one will protect you and your family just as well.

When y'all move to the remote wilderness, ya can call 911 but by the time they get to you, it will be too late. Arm yourself man !!!!
