...if ya go to BASS PRO SHOPS and look at a fishing box, the next time ya goes to drudge or about anywhere else ya will get so many offers to sell ya a fishing box that drudge is slowed down to the point of uselessness. Ya gots to dump all ya cookies to get em to stop selling ya something.

...another thing. I bought a new truck recently and filled out some of the paperwork where it said if I gived em my email id I might win a prize. I believe I have won a hundred trillion gigabits of SPAM

Liberals are like a "Slinky". Totally useless, but somehow ya can't help but smile when you see one tumble down a flight of stairs!

This morning . . . I was looking up some microprocessor
specifications - trying to determine if an old xw4200 type
computer can handle a dual core processor.

Now, I find an ad trying to sell me an antique processor
chip at the top of Yahoo.

The chip is Pentium 4 SL7PW. Single core and maybe
ten years ago it would have been hot stuff. Today?,
well, the computer it is in might as well be an antique.

My problem? I have a bunch of these xw4200's where I
work, and I'm working on upgrading some even older
computers to them. Some of them said they had dual core
processors, most of them said they didn't.

I was going to reserve the dual core machines for 'computer lab'
duty. I had one dual core machine with fuzzy capacitors
inside it, so I thought I'd swap the processor so I could 'upgrade'
a machine. Swapped the processors, and the 'upgraded'
machine said it still had a single core processor.

So I started researching the matter. It seems the
SL7PW has a single core, with two logical processors.
Whatever that means.

I'd appreciate more insights, if anyone has any.

Anyway, the thing I wanted to point out, is that
'THEY' are watching and trying to sell 'us' things
that we exhibit an interest in.

Zim.
