micro, the elevation is so high that
the air is thin. When the humidity
is low you tend to not feel the cold.
There were times when someone would
get drunk and go to sleep outside.
The freezing temps would kill them.
The cops often would arrest folks
sitting or lying on the sidewalks
and then release them in the morning.
Winter usually started in September
and ended in June. It was like a
different world. It was not unusual
for cars to stop running because they
were set to run at sea level and they
were getting too much gas and not
enough oxygen. BTW, I did see it
snow once on July 4Th.
