This is exactly why CHILDREN going off to some university because it is EXCITING to them, and they cannot afford to go so they BORROW MONEY they have no idea if they can pay back, should STAY HOME and go to a local college or IN STATE university.
Did they ever hear of WORKING PART TIME while attending school to help pay off the debt??
BOTH of my children did this as did I.
My oldest has a Masters PLUS 32 hours toward a PHD in Micro-Biology. She did not owe a DIME. Yes, she attended the University of Cincinnati and a branch of UK in Northern Kentucky. Her advanced degrees she took online at a well known university.
Same with my youngest daughter, who is a high profile attorney in Health Law in Virginia.
She had to borrow some money to attend LAW SCHOOL at William and Mary's Marshall-Wythe college of law in Williamsburg. George Wythe was Jefferson's Law teacher....
She paid back what she borrowed in a few years.
If you can;t afford to borrow money, then wait until you have saved enough to pay for it....
The local community colleges are far less expensve to attend and you get the SAME DEGREE...
I believe MOST of these people who have not paid back anything on what they "borrowed" from US TAXPAYERS had no intentions of paying it back unless they were forced to.
And now, they have been caught, given opportunities before action took place of garnishment, and they still did not pay anything back.
I feel not one drop of sorrow for them... They were crooks and thieves and just plain stealing from the rest of us...
They have the idea of everything is free mentality.
Gee, I wonder where they got that from ?????
