I guess of the various bad choices, this is going as well as one can hope. Hillary is enfeebled and frightened (if she loses the Presidency, she may also go to jail). Sanders is such an outlier that he won't win the moderates. Ted Cruz is bombing... which means Goldman Sachs won't have an insider as President. And Marco Rubio is also bombing... which means that the Republican establishment won't have a stooge as President.
What does that leave? A pompous know-it-all who has had dramatic turnarounds in all of his core positions. If Trump does what he says he'll do, he will be good for the country. Unfortunately, in my experience, pompous know-it-alls rarely look out for the best interests of others. I doubt that what's best for Donald Trump is also what's best for the country.
