Mary Poppins just got a rave review from DC Metro Theater Arts!

It describes the orchestra as "glorious"!
The review is much deserved. The show has an excellent cast, crew and pit. The director is superb; the music direction and choreography stellar. And everyone worked their butts off.

Saturday, Joey was presented with a copy of the playbill that every member of the cast had signed. They wrote the nicest things in it, too. It was very cool - something he'll never forget. In addition to working with them four nights a week until 10:30 for the last four months, he also plays piano and synthesizer during the show. He's got the synthesizer set to do more than 100 instruments - everything from organ to timpany, xylophone, the singing of birds, tubular bells, "watery" piano, out-of-tune piano, trombone, tuba, cymbals. You name it and he's doing it . . . sometimes while also playing a regular piano with the other hand. He apparently earned the cast's respect.
